December's Teaching Moment

Have you ever wondered what gift you can give to Jesus as we celebrate His birthday? A great gift is to honor His Holy Name.

We can make the Sign of the Cross as we pass by a Catholic Church. We can bow our heads when the Name of Jesus is spoken during Mass, while reading scripture, or upon hearing His Name. We can offer a silent prayer when we hear the Lord’s Name used in vain. These simple acts show Jesus that we are thankful for Him. And we can pray the Golden Arrow prayer that is said, “to heal the wounds inflicted by blasphemy."
