North Carolina's Care for Women, Children, & Families Act (SB20) |
|
Carolina Catholic talks about North Carolina's Senate Bill 20 or the Care for Women, Children, and Families Act that will become law on July 1, 2023, which restricts the majority of abortions after 12 weeks. North Carolina had a law that allowed abortions up to 20 weeks, but after the SCOTUS' decision in Dobbs v. Jackson, the issue of abortion regulation was returned to the states, and our legislature passed this law to limit abortions to 12 weeks while providing millions to families to assist women with childcare, daycare, paid family leave, etc. Tara Lewis and I will discuss both the Dobbs' decision and SB20 with the state president of North Carolina Right to Life, Dr. Bill Pincus. |
